Behavior
Fallen Heroes don't come in large numbers, but it's common to see five of them or so. They don't know any idea about careful approach and instead slowly walk towards you, getting hit by spearwalls.
They have a 90% chance to raise from the dead on their own once with 50% HP. When they do it, it causes a morale check similar to coming into melee. They can reanimate if someone stands on their corpse, and will push that unit one tile away. If there is nowhere to push, they stay dead. Unlike Wiedergangers, they can rise headless, and if they do, all head hits they take are redirected to the body. They still can bite even with no head.
If they kill a human, he can rise as a Wiederganger. He uses stats of Wiederganger Brother and a "Wiederganger" is added before his name.
Sometimes they lose their weapons when they die. They can pick up weapons from the ground if this happens.
They are unable to use ranged weapons, and they can only use basic and area weapon attacks. Bodyguards can knock you with their shields to push away from Necromancers.
Tips
*Armor piercing or anti-armor weapons are required to penetrate their armor.
*Those armed with two-handed weapons are obviously more dangerous. However, you can make them unable to attack by pushing them back.
*Avoid their area attacks.
* A single hit of their Morning Star will inflict 30 fatigue. Recover allows you to regain combat efficiency if you hit the fatigue limit.
* Graveyards, where you often fight them, have walls around them. You can use it to prevent being surrounded.
*Control them with spearwall, stun and disarm.
* They aren't hard to Overwhelm.
*Be very careful when moving, headless Fallen Heroes are easy to overlook.
*Using flails to hit their unprotected heads can kill them quickly. But flails can smash heads, removing this vulnerability, and you will have to penetrate or destroy armor.
*You can steal their weapon while they are dead.
*Can be punctured for their armor is you can reliably stun or disarm them.
*Use nets to slow their advance. They have only one attempt to break free per turn, and Backstabber does not help to do it.
*They can only move two tiles on bad terrain. With Pathfinder and Polearm Mastery you can kite them without being hit, if there are no Geists or Necromancers.
