}}Donkeys are common draft or pack animals, often used to pull caravan carts.
== Loot ==
* [[Provisions|Strange Meat]].
== Behavior ==
Donkeys are stationary, have no skills, and are not in the turn order. They do however accumulate fatigue when hit, but don't reduce it.
A caravan cart generates next to them, which is only an obstacle.
During an [[Escort Caravan]] contract, letting a donkey die halves your payment.
When attacking a caravan, if all enemies other than the donkeys are slain, they will instantly die without giving XP and loot.
== Tips ==
* Enemies prefer attacking donkeys over your brothers.{{Citation}}
* Your units can walk through them if they are allied.
* When the enemy starts retreating, enemies adjacent to donkeys and no one else retreat without trying to kill them, because Donkeys have no zone of control.
* If you are attacking, make sure to kill them before the battle ends to get XP and loot.
