路上，你遇见一个盯着地洞看的男人，自然走过去问他在干什么。他说，坑里有个兽人。你探头一看，还真有。你拔出剑，问要不要替他解决掉。他吓得往后一缩。
"什么？别杀！我要它活着。我觉得，我们可以试着了解它。"
了解它？这人在说什么胡话？他恳求道。
"就让我们试试吧！人人见到兽人就杀，可它们并非普通野兽。它们有智慧，既然有智慧，就说明能够学习；既然能够学习，也许就能学会与我们共存。"
驯犬师点点头，解释说，野兽无论多聪明、训练得多好，终究还是野兽。那和平主义者想了想。
“可、可它不只是一条狗！”
驯犬师按住他的肩膀。
"但你把它像狗一样逼进了死角，不是吗？换成一个人，就算有满脑子的智慧和学问，背后无路可退，面前全是敌人，你觉得他会怎么做？朋友，眼下无论是对人还是对野兽，都不是谈“和平”的时候，也不是谈和平的地方。"
陌生人慢慢点起头来。他听懂了这番道理，谢天谢地，总算没再添乱，让你们杀了那兽人。解决绿皮后，他递给你一袋克朗。
"我本想拿这些钱试着跟它讲和。现在显然没这个可能了，要不是你们出现，我多半也没命了。佣兵，就当这是我的谢礼吧。"

While on the path, you come across a man staring at a hole in the ground. Naturally, you go over and ask what he's doing. He states that there's an orc in the pit. You look down. There is. Taking out your sword, you ask if you should take care of it for him. He reels back.
"What? No! I want that alive. I think we can try and understand it."
Understand it? What is this man on about? He pleads.
"Let us merely try! Everyone kills an orc on sight, but they're not mere animals. They show intelligence, and if they have intelligence it means that they can learn, and if they can learn then perhaps they can learn to coexist with us."
Houndmaster驯犬师 the houndmaster nods and explains that an animal, no matter how intelligent or well trained, is still an animal. The peacenik thinks for a time.
"I-it's not a mere dog, though!"
Your houndmaster takes the man by the shoulder.
"But you've cornered it like one, haven't you? What do you think a man would do in this situation, all his intellect and wisdom with him, his back to a wall and enemies afoot? This is not the place nor time for making 'peace,' friend, whether it be with man or beast."
The stranger slowly begins to nod. He sees the sense of the argument and, thankfully, lets you destroy the orc without any incident. With the greenskin put away, the man gives you a satchel of crowns.
"I wanted to try and parlay with it using these. That ain't happening now, clearly, and I'd probably be dead if you hadn't shown up. Consider this my thanks, sellsword."
