Equipment
- A Light Southern Mace南方轻型钉锤, Saif赛义夫弯刀, Scimitar弯刀 or Fire Lance火矛.
- A Southern Mail Shirt南方锁甲衫 (110) or Linothorax亚麻胸甲 (75).
- A Spiked Skull Cap with Mail尖刺锁甲颅盔 (125), Wrapped Southern Helmet裹布南方盔 (105) or Southern Head Wrap南方头巾 (30).
- 90% chance of an Adarga Shield阿达尔加盾.

Behavior
Frontline Conscripts are dedicated to defending polearm Conscripts and Gunners火铳手. They often use Shieldwall to improve their own survivability, and can rotate with allies to save them from danger.
The color of their Linothoraxes and style of Head Wraps depends on the banner of their city state.
Tips
- Low priority targets, but often the only available.
- Nimble轻灵 makes them quite tough.
- They don't have obvious weaknesses to exploit.
- Handgonnes deal good damage to them because they lack heavy armor and fight in a tight formation. Adarga Shields will reduce your hit chance, especially in Shieldwall盾墙.
- Breaking their Adarga Shields is easy and does not require melee skill or Double Grip. Axe Mastery斧术精通 allows to break a shield in one hit. Throwing Spears投矛 can destroy shields from range.
- Cleavers require Duelist决斗家 or being two-handed to work. Rusty Warblade锈蚀战刃 showed the best result.
- Greataxes' Split Man劈身 kills them in two hits. Other two-handed weapons need to hit the same body part, but may be more optimal with area attacks.
- Flails bypass shields, can target the head and Conscripts don't have Steel Brow钢铁额骨. But it requires Flail Mastery连枷精通, is fatiguing, and Conscripts often have helmets.
- One-handed hammers' damage minimum of 10 isn't affected by Nimble轻灵, and they destroy armor quickly, allowing other weapons to deal full damage.
- Being Nimble轻灵, they are more vulnerable to Fearsome威慑, and have no rallying units. However they will often resist due to their high resolve.
- When fighting on your side, they can rotate you into dangerous positions.
